We’re in the Austrian village of Obergurgl but there’s too much snow for skiing! The slopes are avalanching and it’s still snowing.
There are winter walking trails here as well as skiing but everything is closed. The walking trails have over 60cm of powder snow on them and are behind the danger of avalanche signs so no chance of using them. Even the road to neighbouring Hochgurgl and Solden is closed.
They’re saying they expect to be open tomorrow. Will keep fingers crossed!
Here’s a few phone photos to give an idea of what it’s like. Too dull to use my proper camera today.
