Today Jan and I walked from Tunstead Milton through the Goyt Valley, up Stakeside over the Cat and Fiddle road to the Stanley Arms in Wildboarclough.
A few days ago we expected gales and driving rain all day but what a difference a few days make! We had sunny spells with a cool breeze the whole way. It was a bit over 8 miles and took 3.5 hours.
The pub was open so I relaxed with a pint of Marston’s Pedigree, followed later by excellent Sunday roasts for both of us.
Here are a few photos from the day.
